About Us:

The City of Bishop City Park was created on land partially owned by the City of Bishop and land area leased from Los Angeles Department of Water & Power.  Located in the center of Main Street, the park is a popular attraction for community members and visitors alike. The shade of the trees and decorative rocks are inviting to the eye and encourage relaxation.  Enjoy a stroll along the walking path passing the community pool and tennis courts to the edge of the pond towards the rear of the park. The bridge over the waters will take you to the Gazebo on the pond where you can enjoy watching the fish swim beneath you and the colorful birds and ducks that enjoy the waters and area surrounding the pond. Picnic tables and barbeques are available for family time. The rear pavilion allows picnicking in the shade while being close for the young ones to enjoy our playground. The sounds of Bishop Creek provide serenity as it flows along the length of the park.

The City Park has grown to provide more for our community members and visitors to now include a Dog Park to provide a play area for your K-9 family members, a community garden to provide space for garden growers, an outdoor gym to get in shape while enjoying the mountainous views, and a growing Arboretum with trees local to our desert and mountain areas.  All of this on top of the long time existing local pool, Skate Park, and multiuse sports fields.
