Kona Skatepark

8739 Kona Avenue

Kona Skatepark is the oldest outdoor, privately owned, skatepark in the United States, and possibly the world. Kona is a legendary skatepark, and should be on every skaters list of "parks to skate"!

Huge park, a lot of different things to do there. People there are super chill. Mix of adults and kids. Things for beginners and advanced. I could spend all day here. The snake run is a blast - it scratches my snowboarding itch in the summer in FL! The one thing I wish they had is a pump track. I'll definitely be back.

What an iconic place to enjoy time with your kids or just shred some concrete. I first skated here in 1986 and although it has some new additions for modern skaters, it now allows anything with wheels (non-motorized of course). BMX bikes, scooters, heck I've even seen someone on a uni-cycle here. Friendly and professional staff that promotes safety first and foremost. The crew here promotes positive and courteous behavior. I read last year that Kona was going to start renovating the park and it is my hope and wish that they keep the freestyle area, snake run, bowl with the original look and feel from the glory days of youthfulness concrete. If you don't know how to skate there are lessons for beginners and for those who want to improve their skills there are lessons for you too. Make it a day or a few hours to experience endless summers carving up the concrete.

Best place ever and it's great if you're a dad with pads. Super kid friendly I go here with my little boy as often as I can.

Love the park. My kids thinks its amazing. Definitely in need of fresh paint and upgrades. The hype is blah. I've been going to kona for over 10 years and it used to be really cool.

I took my kids Finally to KONA Skatepark for the very first time today, & I Gotta say this place is really a nice park. I love that it's locally Famíly-Owned. There's alotta HISTORY HERE: My kids are now skateboarding where their Dad(Who recently passed away) skated!
