With the picturesque Manhasset Bay as the perfect backdrop, the re-opening of North Hempstead’s Manorhaven Pool Complex at Manorhaven Beach Park boasts among other features a 25,000 square foot main pool area with competition and lap swim area, general swim sections, zero depth entry for children and beginners, as well as two giant water slides and state of the art play features and a separate kiddie pool area. The 12,000 square foot bathhouse complex also features event space and food service as well as new locker rooms.
Manorhaven Beach Park also provides full outdoor recreation activities, such as basketball, newly re-surfaced tennis courts, handball, horseshoe pits, and racquetball and bocci courts. Athletic fields for soccer and softball may be reserved. Picnic areas, boat ramp and playground are available. In late summer/early fall of 2011 Manorhaven will also be home to North Hempstead’s new Skate Spot.
