New Mechanical Plant 2013 - In July 2011, Air Systems was invited to partner with Johnson Controls Energy Solutions Group to build a new and upgraded energy-efficient mechanical plant for the center. Two highly energy-efficient boilers, 17 air-handler coils, and five pumps and heat exchangers for the pools, domestic hot water and space heating were installed during a three-week shutdown. This environmental control project is expected to reduce energy consumption by 54% and save approximately $33,000 per year.
